key recovery considerations for the days and weeks ahead
MERRILL, Wis. - CM CARES® — the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation — has committed $15,000 to the Community Foundation Emergency Relief Fund to support individuals and families facing hardship after last weekend’s severe storms and tornadoes in Ringle, Weston, and surrounding Marathon County communities.
The contribution will be paired with a CM CARES employee match of up to $10,000, providing Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. (a stock insurer)1 employees with a voluntary opportunity to support relief efforts in the communities where they live and work.
Funds distributed through the Emergency Relief Fund will remain within the affected area, helping local nonprofit organizations respond quickly to urgent needs such as temporary housing, food assistance and other basic recovery support for residents impacted by the storms.
“This is our community, and we’ve seen firsthand the impact these storms have had on families across Marathon County,” said Alan Ogilvie, president and CEO of Church Mutual. “Our immediate focus is on supporting urgent needs and standing alongside our neighbors to help where it’s needed most. We’ve also heard from so many of our employees over the past few days asking how they can help, and it’s been important for us to make sure we’re thoughtfully directing that support where it can make a real difference.”
