MERRILL, Wis. – CMCARES® — the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation —announced today a $40,000 donation to local food pantries. The contributions will be distributed as $10,000 donations to food pantries in each community where Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. (a stock insurer)1 maintains an office:

· Milwaukee, Wisconsin
· Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
Church Mutual® is a leading provider of insurance to houses of worship, nonprofits, schools and camps. The donations are part of CM CARES’ ongoing commitment to supporting communities and nonprofits where employees live and work. With rising costs of living putting increased pressure on individuals and families, CM CARES contributions will aim to help local food pantries respond to growing community needs.
“[Church Mutual’s] generosity is helping us reach our goal of 600 complete holiday meals,” said Rev. George Chochos, executive director of Bethesda Mission in Mechanicsburg, a recipient organization. “Families in our community can gather around a full table for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.”
In addition to donations, local Church Mutual teams in Merrill, Madison, Milwaukee and Mechanicsburg will host employee food drives to help keep pantry shelves stocked through the holidays and beyond.
“We see the challenges that so many communities across the country are facing right now,” said Alan Ogilvie, Church Mutual President and CEO. “And we see the wonderful work nonprofits are doing every day to meet those needs. Anything we can do to support their mission — by helping keep food on the shelves and making sure it gets to the people who need it — is something we’re grateful to support.”
