At its core, Church Mutual is built on service to its customers and community. CM CARES®, the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation, was established in 2016 to support causes that elevate the human condition.
We pride ourselves on being a specialist in protecting purpose-driven organizations that serve and inspire others. We believe in the higher purpose our customers serve, and we have a high regard for protecting the traditions they hold dear.
Gifts large and small have been granted from CM CARES on behalf of Church Mutual to charitable, educational, community and religious causes throughout the U.S.
The Religious Scholars Program awarded $62,500 for 25 scholarships to religious students of all denominations pursuing careers in ministry.
$500,000 in funding to nonprofits nationwide through the COVID-19 Protecting the Greater Good Recovery Fund. Donations from the fund supported 501(c)(3) organizations throughout the country in their efforts to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Half the $500,000 fund was allocated to help nonprofit organizations serving diverse communities most impacted by the pandemic, including African American, Asian American and Hispanic communities.
A land grant that enabled construction of the Northwoods Veterans Post in Merrill, Wisconsin. The post, dedicated in 2020, now serves more than 21,000 veterans from six counties.
Sponsorship of MKE Fellows, an initiative that encourages and supports young African American men from Milwaukee in completing their college education and launching successful careers.
Contributions to numerous organizations nationwide, including Feeding America, Salvation Army, United Way, United Negro College Fund and more.
An initial contribution and pledge for ongoing support of Merrill Foundation, Inc., a philanthropic nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Church Mutual&rsquos hometown of Merrill, Wisconsin.
