Church Mutual names Hughes Chief Marketing Officer
MERRILL, Wis. (June 29, 2015) — Church Mutual Insurance Company, the largest insurer of religious organizations, today announced Laura J. Hughes will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer effective July 6, 2015, and report directly to CEO Michael Ravn. In this new role, Hughes will drive corporate marketing strategy.
With more than 20 years of experience and an emphasis on the Financial Services Industry, Hughes' expertise lies in successfully building world-class marketing organizations and brands – leveraging marketing capabilities to deliver profitable growth.
Prior to joining Church Mutual, Hughes led Digital Marketing for the Commercial Banking Division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and served as the Vice President of National Marketing for the Federal Reserve System, the Central Bank of the United States.

Hughes replaces former Marketing Vice President Pat Moreland, who retired earlier this year.
Hughes began her career at AT&T, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in customer service, sales, channel management and marketing. Additionally, she served as Director of Business Marketing at ComEd, one of the nation's largest electric utilities, and Vice President of Customer Experience at RR Donnelley & Sons, a Fortune 500 company.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois and earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
